Contract Types
Root DEX supports linear, inverse, and quanto contracts, providing traders with a diverse range of options for their trading strategies.
Linear Contracts: These are also known as "U-based contracts". Traders can utilize stablecoins (USDC or USDT) as margins to go long or short on various cryptocurrencies including BTC, ETH, and more.
Inverse Contracts: Also referred to as "coin-based contracts", inverse contracts allow traders to use BTC as a margin to trade BTC/USD contracts, or ETH to trade ETH/USD contracts.
Quanto Contracts: Known as "dual-currency contracts", quanto contracts enable traders to use any type of coin as margin to trade perpetual contracts of popular cryptocurrencies such as BTC and ETH.
